Alberta Horse Trials Association
Welcome to Eventing
Alberta Horse Trials Association is a not for profit dedicated to the Olympic Sport of Three Day Eventing. This year the Association expects that over 250 registrants and close to 1200 people will attend one of the ten events being hosted across the Province this summer. Beyond those events AHTA would like to show you how our marketing plan will reach thousands of more people across nine Alberta communities and highways.
We would love to have you be part of this exciting growth, and we believe we will provide to your organization excellent returns for your support.

- The individuals who have made the decision to enter this sport have paid tens of thousands of dollars for their horse, truck and trailer (or renting space in others), coaching, uniforms, feed, hotels, and restaurants (etc.). In fact an average weekend in your community will cost anywhere from $125 (just stopping for gas) to $700 for these individuals.
-
- Most eventers travel with a family or spouse and are used to driving up to two days to get to an event which will last from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. If they are not in town on Friday or Saturday night, they have bought groceries and are gathering with friends at the event site.
-

- The core of our new profile on our sponsors comes from our new magazine - The Alberta Eventer. Over 6,000 copies will be distributed across the province, with the logos of our five largest sponsors featured prominently in both articles and on the front cover.
-
- The magazine will be provided to all of the AHTA membership, as well as handed out free at Equestrian Stores around the province, and to over 1500 spectators throughout the eventing season. An opportunity to use the magazine for coupons, sales, or any exposure you would like for us to support on your behalf is available.
-
- The magazine will be at least 42 pages in length, supporting the 10 events in the province as well as articles on the sport, Alberta’s Olympic hopefuls in the event for Beijing 2008, and what it takes to join the sport, and finally, a profile of the sponsors and the AHTA Foundation. There is a lot of opportunity for you the Sponsors to be profiled in the best way that suits your organization. Please discuss with us your needs as we consider this partnership together.
-

- Our Community and Highways Program
- Events this year are being held on Highway 2 in Red Deer, Highway 11 at Rocky Mountain House, Highway 22 at Cochrane, and other smaller secondary highways in the Province. We will have signage for each event in our calendar this year and are expecting to provide “stand alone” signage for our sponsors as part of our visibility plan. As well, we have had great success with local media outlets in the past (i.e. Rocky Mountain House 2005) and are planning a major push in the communities this year. We expect this push to provide AHTA exposure in all the major media centres in the Province.

-
- As an example with your company’s support of our program in Red Deer, your organization would get:
-
-
- 300 eventers
- 500 supporters
- 30,000 viewings of the Corporate Logo (Alberta Transport ATR Stats - 2004 for Highway 2 at Red Deer)
- 800 per media Web Viewers
- Additional exposure through Media Campaign
- Exposure in the Alberta Eventer
While Red Deer is the largest event you will receive similar exposure 10 more times through the year at events such as:
- Cochrane
- Rocky Mountain House
- Millarville
- Morinville
- Grande Prairie
- Beaumont
- Calgary (Exhibitions)
- Edmonton (Exhibitions)
- Conclusion
-
- By becoming a sponsor with us you will have access to over 60,000 eyeballs and over 7000 active consumers.
